Join The Biggest Pole Dance Event of the Year!

UK Pole Dance Day Pole dancing banner

Last year the Equity Pole Dancers’ Working Party founded UK Pole Dance

Day, an annual, national event to be held on May 1st with pole dance schools

and studios around the country coming together to celebrate the joy of pole

dance. This year, the event promises to be bigger than ever and we’d like

you to join us.

To participate in UK Pole Dance Day, all you need to do is organise an

event for May 1st and inform us of it. You can hold pole jams, demonstrations,

showcases, taster sessions, World Record attempts, or whatever takes your

fancy, it just has to be open to the public and packed full of pole dancing fun.

Once registered as part of UK Pole Dance Day, Equity will publicise your

event as part of this year’s UKPDD campaign, and pictures from the events

will be featured on the Equity website. The Pole Dance Comunity will also cover

all events being held by it's approved pole dance schools.

UK Pole Dance Day exists to inform and educate the public about this much

misunderstood art form. It is a non-profit event that is free to enter.

Equity will publicise the event with the national media and participants

are encouraged to contact their local media. A free press pack is available to

download for registered participants, containing posters, banners and

sample press releases, everything you need to publicise your event.

With your involvement, the pole dance community has an unprecedented

chance to show the country that our beloved dance form is a challenging,

beautiful and skilful activity that brings a smile to the face of anyone who tries

it.

So, what will you be doing for pole dance on Saturday May 1st 2010?
