Code of conduct for pole dancing schools:
PDC approved schools will provide the PDC with copies of public liability, professional indemnity and employers liability insurance (where held) and first aid qualifications. PDC approved schools may be asked to provide a copy of a CV for each pole dancing instructor. All instructors must have a minimum of 3 years pole dancing experience.
PDC approved schools will ensure that there are never more than 3 students to a pole when teaching.
PDC approved schools will only use safe poles* and will happily disclose information about the type of poles used. A school will not be PDC approved if their poles are considered unsafe.
PDC approved schools will ensure that their poles are properly cleaned and maintained. PDC approved schools will endeavour to provide a safe environment for their students (including a safe distance between poles).
PDC approved schools will not be exploitative and will aim to make their charges reasonable.
PDC approved schools will not allow students to drink alcohol during sessions.
PDC approved schools will operate wholly within the laws applicable to them in their own jurisdiction
* safe pole dancing poles are poles that are designed to accommodate the stresses and tensions imposed upon them by pole dancing, safe pole dancing poles will be clean, well maintained and free from rust or other conditions that may be harmful to the user.
The PDC approved dance schools code of conduct does not necessarily apply to hen parties and other activities that may be purely aimed at fun and not fitness. Pole dance schools wishing to gain PDC approval will need to complete the registration form which can be downloaded here. Once completed, the form should be posted to:

PL4 8DX PDC approved schools will display the PDC logo on their website, at their premises and on promotional material wherever possible (PDC approved schools will be sent copies of the PDC Code of Conduct as well as PDC logos for public display).
